WebEss™
WebEss™  Energy Management System is a comprehensive software solution for monitoring all forms of energy usage while benchmarking and assessing the energy and environmental performance of buildings, to reduce energy-related costs and environmental burden. It is an advanced program used by progressive customers like Vasakronan, Rodamco and Dalkia.

The Benchmark Report is used to compare the energy consumptions of properties with themselves and with each other over a period of time.

The Benchmark Report provides the means to understand and control energy consumption and costs for a property or a group of properties under your control.

Environmental Reporting shows how a single object or entire portfolio affects the environment through its energy consumption. WebEss™ has three environmental variables by default; CO2, NOx and Green Share.

These variables are connection to consumption types, as they are dependent on which energy source is used (oil, gas, wind energy and so on). As the emission values in the system are based on actual consumption, they show precisely how much
pollution is produced for a given level of consumption. Emissions Reports also show the variable Green Share. This variable is expressed as a percentage (%), and calculates the share of energy consumption in an electricity contract which is from a renewable energy source.

Building Blocks of WebEss™

Meters measure energy consumption data of hot water, cold water, electricity for each structure in the system. Reports are produced from these meter readings and include energy consumption reports, emissions reports and benchmarking reports. The tree-structure of WebEss™ allows users to access only those reports which are relevant to their responsibilities. This prevents data overload and ensures meaningful analysis and decisions based on correct information.

Emissions can be calculated for a variety of environmental variables including carbon and nitrogen, where additional variables can be added when needed. Resolution can be changed to show consumption data over years, months, days and even hours.

Tariffs can be assigned to environmental variables of your choice which allows users to implement a fixed cost for electricity and a variable cost for emissions.

The emphasis on benchmarking means you can compare individual variations in consumption and determine exactly which objects and which observations are causing problems and the causes of these inefficiencies. At specific time intervals and over time. Consumption data can be presented using denominators including building area, where consumption is shown as Mwh/m2. In a factory, consumption can be presented as Mwh/unit produced, in a retail setting as Mwh/unit of sales and so on. This gives managers a clear picture of sales, productivity and variable energy costs. Data can be imported for strictly smart metering or for mixed structures.

WebEss™ Software for Sustainability

WebEss™ is a system designed for the long term planning and improvement of energy efficiency in buildings.
By installing WebEss™, users are able to record their energy consumption and see the effects of any improvements on their operations. The software helps customers in implementing energy policies and ensuring their ongoing success, while helping to control costs and increasing overall flexibility of energy related decisions.

WebEss™ Software as a Service

Implementation
This diagram shows you how ibc will implement WebEss™ functionality in your organisation. You can have your WebEss™ system up and running in a period as short as 3 to 4 weeks!

ibc Consultants will install and set-up your WebEss™ system, collecting the releveant historic data together with you and defining buildings, utility meters and the system users (incl. language settings and authorisation). Once this is done, ibc Consultants will train the users in how to use the system: input (or automatically upload) utility meter data and run and interpret the reports.

If your organisation needs customised reports based on WebEss™ data or in combination with data held in other systems you use, ibc Reporting Consultants can help you realize these reports.

The experienced ibc Energy Management Consultants can help you understand the data and advice you on how to realize the benefits, if you require.

Your Return on Investment
WebEss™ users typically earn their investment in the system back within a year. It's not just us that say that, it's what our customers tell us. ibc has developed a Energy Savings Function that will show you your annual savings for your portfolio based on the surface of your portfolio, key values on energy usage and estimated savings (we can share our and our clients experiences of the last 20 years) and your ambition level.
